The NDS 430 Pop‑Up Drainage Emitter is a smart, spring‑loaded outlet for stormwater systems designed to release water when pressure builds and close when flow subsides. It includes a PVC elbow and a universal adapter that fits both 3″ and 4″ drain pipes — such as single-wall corrugated and Sch 40 types. The green HDPE cap pops up by about 1 inch under pressure to discharge water efficiently, then reseals to prevent debris and rodent entry.

Inside, the unit uses a stainless steel spring rated to open at only ~0.04 psi, making it sensitive to even low levels of backed-up water. The emitter provides a large open surface area (about 10 sq in) for flow, and it can release up to around 43 gallons per minute at a 1‑inch head, or about 30 gallons per minute at 0.5‑inch head. A small weep hole in the elbow allows any residual water in the pipe to drain out, helping reduce the risk of freezing or stagnation under cold weather conditions.
